The Sterling Silver Wanderer Earrings are inspired by the shape of the clasps or “fibulas” that the Imazighen (Berbers) of Morocco wear to hold their cloaks closed. The beautiful name Imazighen means free people, an apt term for free wanderers of the desert. I have always been drawn to the lifestyle of these nomadic desert dwellers and after having the privilege of seeing their craft works, clothing, and jewelry in Morocco I wanted to pay homage in my own small way.
